Paul Fathers became Head of Ashley Manor Prep School in September 2021, having previously been Deputy Head for twelve years and Director of Studies for six years. Paul grew up locally and was educated at a nearby grammar school. He then studied History at Surrey University before moving into teaching. He has two sons who were both educated at Ashley Manor Prep School (previously known as St Edward’s Prep School), with one continuing their education at a grammar school and one moving on to St Edward’s Senior School. At Ashley Manor, Paul has run academic extension clubs for a number of years, assisting pupils in gaining entry to the secondary school of their choice.
Paul enjoys all sports both to watch and participate in. At Ashley Manor he coaches rugby, cricket and football, as well as subject teaching across the school and being involved with the school’s wide extra-curricular programme.
