Here at Ashley Manor, we know that choosing the right school for your child is one of the hardest decisions you will have to make. However, by choosing Ashley Manor, we can guarantee your child will be attending one of the best independent schools in Gloucestershire both in terms of pastoral care and academic excellence.

Our admissions procedure typically includes the following steps:

Experience Ashley Manor first-hand

Visiting a school is the best way for you to experience first-hand how a school operates; hearing directly from pupils and staff will give you the opportunity to see if the school would be a good fit for your child – a vital part as gut feel is often the overriding factor in decision making.

On your tour, you are invited to ask questions, familiarise yourself with our facilities and staff, and get a feel for our supportive, nurturing environment which will support your child every step of the way through their first steps in education. We have a number of Open Days & Events throughout the year and on top of this we encourage you to visit us for a personal tour during the day to experience the school in action.

We encourage you to tour the school at a time convenient to you for a personal tour, however you are also welcome to come along to one of our open days. We also offer taster days for pupils to have the Staines Prep experience before you register.

Experience Days (Year 1 to Year 6 entry only)

Following your tour and the completion of a Registration Form, Experience Days would be arranged for your child to spend time at the School. We suggest a minimum of three days so your child can fully experience our curriculum (this varies for younger year groups). Children being considered for entry into Year 3 to Year 6 would be asked complete standardised Maths and English testing during their visit.

Registration

To register, parents are requested to complete a Registration Form and return it to the Admissions Team, together with a non-refundable fee of £75.

Offer of Place

Following registration and, in the case of Year 1 to Year 6, successful completion of the Experience Days an offer can be made. Please note that in the event of oversubscription for a year group, your child will be placed on a waiting list and the Admissions Team will keep you updated on any progress or availability

Acceptance

On receipt of an offer of a place at the School, parents are required to complete and return an Acceptance Form, along with a deposit of £500. The deposit is refunded when the student leaves Ashley Manor and all financial matters have been settled.
