On Monday in Kindergarten, Little Oaks were exploring the world of plants and rolling up their sleeves to do some planting themselves.

With a pot in one hand and a trowel in the other, the children learnt all about how soil, water and light play important roles in making seeds grow and provide the tiny, precious seeds with nourishment. They explored about how light is what plants eat to grow, just as they eat yummy food to grow.

With their pots patted to perfection and propped by the window to soak up the light, the children were very excited at the prospect of seeing their pots come to life and their tiny seeds transform. This was a fantastic opportunity for them to learn all about the natural world, how living beings grow and how to look after plants and flowers!
